Writer's Block: Bucket list

Oct. 18th, 2009 | 11:54 am

If you found out you only had six months left to live, what would you do with the rest of your life? Do you have a "bucket list"?

1. Go to Vancouver.
2. Work my ass off on my novel, finally finish it.
3. Maybe go to school once in a while to see my friends, but never do any more school work. EVER. Instead work on #2!!
4. Go to Germany, if possible.
5. Get drunk and/or high off my ass. Par-tay!
6. Sexxxxxx.
7. If possible, go to a Con to see Jared, Jensen, and/or Misha.
8. If I'm going to die with episodes of Supernatural season 5 left, beg who ever holds on to them until they're aired to let me see the ones that have already been filmed, and after that beg Kripke & Co. to inform me on how it's going to end (promise I won't tell). BECAUSE I NEED TO KNOW.
9. Get the fuck out of the closet already. (Pride parade! Fuck yeah, that'd be awesome.)

If I couldn't do it all... at least number 2. That's a most definitely.

When you get sick or have a cold, what's your favorite remedy to make you feel better?

View 1665 Answers

Windex.

Ginger Ale. That's our family's make-you-feel-better for every sickness. Sore throat? Ginger Ale. Stomach bug? Ginger Ale. Chicken pox? Ginger Ale.
If I'm ever sick enough to miss several days of school: must demand Ginger Ale. Cuz now I'm kinda addicted. <3

(We hardly ever drink soda besides that, though.)

Writer's Block: Theme Dining

Aug. 15th, 2009 | 03:25 pm

If you were to open your own theme restaurant, what would the theme be and how would you express it to the customers?

View 506 Answers

Mine would be Star Trek themed. Make it look like you're on the Enterprise or something. All the tables could be in a U around a stage that looks like the bridge, and the walls could look like the windows to outerspace. And maybe when you first walk in it could look like you just beamed up to the transporter room, and then you walk down a hallway to the main dining room/bridge.

Fuck yeah, you know you'd come to that.

I see two pig-like fairy things on the outsides, and the thing in the middle looks like a dress.

That makes no sense at all, but that's what I see most.

...So what's that mean?

Title: the twist in you
Fandom: Hetalia
Pairing: Ludwig/Feliciano (Germany/Italy)
Rating: R for some sexual content
Warnings: Dub con, OOC Germany, no historical basis, some angst, lots of fail in general
Word count: ~1,370
A/N: It started out as a drabble and kind of turned into a ficlet, so there was no real planning or historical evidence behind it. Hence the fail.
Summary: Ludwig never remembers in the morning.

most definately stolen

Jun. 17th, 2009 | 03:36 pm

If you are reading this right now, you have more luxury than someone in Iran could ever hope for right now. If you are watching TV or a video on youtube, updating your status on Facebook, Tweeting, or even texting your friend, you are lucky. If you are safe in your home, and were able to sleep last night without the sounds of screaming from the rooftops, you need to know and understand what is happening to people just like you in Iran right now.

They are not the enemy. They are a people whose election has been stolen. For the first time in a long time, a voice for change struck the youth of Iran, just as it did for many people in the United States only seven months ago. Hossein Mousavi gained the support of millions of people in Iran as a Presidential candidate. He stands for progressiveness. He supports good relations with the West, and the rest of the world. He is supported with fervor as he challenges the oppressive regime of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

On Friday, millions of people waited for hours in line to vote in Iran's Presidential election. Later that night, as votes came in, Mousavi was alerted that he was winning by a two-thirds margin. Then there was a change. Suddenly, it was Ahmadinejad who had 68% of the vote - in areas which have been firmly against his political party, he overwhelmingly won. Within three hours, millions of votes were supposedly counted - the victor was Ahmadinejad. Immediately fraud was suspected - there was no way he could have won by this great a margin with such oppposition. Since then, reports have been coming in of burned ballots, or in some cases numbers being given without any being counted at all. None of this is confirmed, but what happened next seems to do the trick.

The people of Iran took the streets and rooftops. They shout "Death to the dictator" and "Allah o akbar." They join together to protest. Peacefully. The police attack some, but they stay strong. Riots happen, and the shouting continues all night. Text messaging was disabled, as was satellite, and websites which can spread information such as Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, and the BBC are blocked in the country. At five in the morning, Arabic speaking soldiers (the people of Iran speak Farsi) stormed a university in the capital city of Tehran. While sleeping in their dormitories, five students were killed. Others were wounded. These soldiers are thought to have been brought in by Ahmadinejad from Lebanon. Today, 192 of the university's faculty have resigned in protest.

Mousavi requested that the government allow a peaceful rally to occur this morning - the request was denied. Many thought that it would not happen. Nevertheless, first a few thousand people showed up in the streets of Tehran. At this point, it is estimated that 1 to 2 million people were there. Mousavi spoke on the top of a car. The police stood by. For a few hours, everything was peaceful. Right now, the same cannot be said. Reports of injuries, shootings, and killings are flooding the internet. Twitter has been an invaluable source - those in Iran who still know how to access it are updating regularly with picture evidence. People are being brutally beaten. Tonight will be another night without rest for so many in Iran no older than I am. Tonight there is a Green Revolution.

Writer's Block: Regrets Only

Jun. 5th, 2009 | 11:54 am

Do you think that animals feel regret?

View 500 Answers

Looking at other people's answers to this question, it seems like everyone saying no is basing it on one or two animals that they know. I would just like to point out the falsity of this argument by saying, your cat/dog does not equal every animal on the globe. I'm pretty sure there are differences between your house pet and (for example) elephants living in the wild on the other side of the globe. Savy?

That said, yeah, I do think animals feel regret. If a mother animal loses her baby, you don't think she laments? Naturally, she's going to feel regret for losing her child. They might not know what it is they're feeling, but they still feel it.

What was your favorite fairy tale as a child?

Does The Little Mermaid count as a fairy tale? Cuz I always loved that one. And I liked Peter Pan after they came out with a live action movie of it. Cuz that guy they got to play Peter Pan was freakin hot, lol.
I can't really think of anything else. I wasn't a very big fairy tale person. I mostly like stories with lots talking animals running around. XD

...
NARNIA.
Does Narnia count as a fairy tale?
It should. Narnia's so awesome it should count as everything. :D

NO. God DAMMIT.
I've already come to terms with the fact that it's only going to last one more year, I was prepared for that. In fact, I thought that that was probably a good thing so I can finally get on with my life. You know I can never ever do anything on Thursday nights, and I've actually missed out on several opportunities because of it. But it's been worth it. Because it's SUPERNATURAL.
But please, please don't turn it into a crappy excuse for a show that's only used for profit. I don't want to see what happened to Smallville happen to my beloved. Kripke said 5 seasons, so you better stick with 5 goddamn seasons.
The worst thing they could possibly do though was continue it without Kripke. That would be horrible. Just, no. You can't do that. CAN'T. In fact, I'm leaving this post un-f-locked just so if anyone's looking for reactions from the fans they can see that this one will fuck your shit up if you go on, and especially if you go on without Kripke. Fuck your shit up.

And you know what? Fuck you, CW. You threaten to cancel us for 4 fucking years and now all of a sudden your like, oh, hey, no, don't go.
WELL NO. I don't give a fuck about your fucking profits. You've been fucking abusing us for too long, so now you can just go fuck yourselves.

God fucking damn.

Do you ever have recurring dreams? If so, are they good dreams or nightmares?

View 501 Answers

Well, not exactly. See, I re-dream things some times, but then they keep going. And it turns into like, a sequel, or something.
My dreams have SEQUELS.
And not like, the next day or week, either. It'll be several years later.
Wtf, brain. How do you do this?

What food would you miss most if you were sent to prison for the rest of your life?

Sponsored by "Inside Guantanamo" on National Geographic Channel. Premieres Sunday at 9P et/pt.

As long as I could still be vegetarian, I don't think I'd care all that much. Although, I would miss sweets and stuff like that. I'd be skinnier, though! lol.

(lol, that'd be something I'd do, go to prison for killing someone and then refuse to eat dinner cuz i'm veggie. XD i really hope there are people who have done that.)

(I'd miss coffee, too. Do they have coffee in prison?)

Someone in my school hid a cell phone somewhere in one of the rooms and kept calling it while they were in a different class. The ringtone was The Office theme song and they kept calling it nonstop for about two hours.

i thought it was pretty amusing.
